A legacy of street dominance meets track performance with the 1LE Track Package. All 1LE models are built to take on the track with precision braking, steering, handling and grip.
1LE is an upgrade kit specially introduced by Chevrolet Performance for the Camaro series. The kit includes upgrades for the model’s appearance and engine. As the most powerful model in the Camaro series, Camaro ZL1 set a lap time of 7:29.06 at the Niirburgring Nordschleife, making it the Chevrolet sports car with a performance at the NUrburgring that is second only to Chevrolet ZR1.
This record was later broken by Camaro ZL1 1 LE which was fitted with the 1 LE upgrade kit. The peak horsepower of the 6.2-liter LSA V8 engine in the Camaro ZL1 was originally about 550hp. With the 1 LE upgrade kit, the addition of a supercharger increases the car’s horsepower to 650hp and the peak torque reached nearly 90kg/ m. The 1 LE kit also upgrades the aerodynamics of the car body, such as air knives on both sides of the front bumper, rear wings and the lower lip of the front bumper.
The focus of the 1 LE upgrade kit is on making the Camaro ZL1 lighter. With the upgrade, the car body weighs 27kg less. The Camaro ZL1 1 LE’s best lap time at Nordschleife was 7:16, which was 13.56 seconds faster than a regular Camaro ZL1. It also overtook the Corvette C6 ZR1 to become the best Chevrolet sports car at the Nordschleife.
